How to get more energy in your life this week

We all want more energy in our lives don’t we?

The ability to do more of the things we love and want to do?

I know I do.

Having more energy (real energy, not the caffeine induced kind) is what we should aim to have in our lives, but what are some quickly implementable things that will give you a joyous boost to your energy levels and get you into the mindset of really wanting to take control of your life.

If your goal is weight loss then the tips contained in this article are going to help you with more of that.
As the leading personal training company in Lancashire (see why here: https://mastersfitness.co.uk/) we’re experienced to know that if you take care of the small things that are stressing your body then you will be able to push things further and actually lose the weight that you want to.

I’ve included a number of things in the above video that I recorded for a group that is part of MastersPT (our main website).
In the video I talk about:
-        Blackout blinds
-        Fluoride-free toothpaste
-        A sun lamp
-        Organic tea and coffee
-        A water filter
-        Himalayan salt
-        Epsom salts
-        EMF blocker
-        A reminder band
-        A supplement box

Now, if you weren’t aware then us trainers at Masters Fitness believe in supplements and that you should be using them to supplement things in your life that you won’t get from food.
There’s a big misconception in the world that you can get all of your nutrients from the food that we eat. Unfortunately, the world’s resources are depleting in both quantity and quality.

The latter is the important one.
For example, we should get our Omega 3 from fish (it’s know as the good fatty acid and it helps with brain function and our bodies to actually function altogether).

The key problem here is that we don’t get enough of this from our fish. The amount of Omega 3 in our fish has depleted over the last few years and this means that supplementing is best.
So too magnesium (an item that helps us relax, build muscle and become tired towards the evening) isn’t in as much abundance as it once was.

That’s a huge problem.

Because it means that when your body needs all of the relevant nutrients to repair and revive and build muscle it doesn’t have the right amounts.

That results in sluggish energy and in turn means you can’t perform your best in the gym or when training with your fitness coach.
There are certain trace elements in the Himalayan salt that help your body process and retain the right about of water in your body: water is needed to do lots of different tasks within the body.
Also, having a blackout blind can help you sleep.

One of our personal training clients in East Lancashire takes a portable one with him wherever he travels (across the world). It helps because at times some curtains don’t block all of the light out.
Light at night can help to stimulate cortisol and as a guy he definitely doesn’t want that.
Having the blackout blind has resulted in a better rested individual and one who is able to work harder in his fitness training sessions. Which will then result, with other things in there, him getting to his goal weight in a shorter space of time.

Why is Hydration Important to Your Health?

I’ve recorded a video where I talk about hydration and why it’s important to our overall health. How it’s one of the best things to drink (obv. The body is highly concentrated with water) and why you should be concentrating on staying hydrated. One thing I always pass on to our clients at Masters Personal Training is the fact that they should be adding Himalayan salt to their water. This helps with your own hydration and absorption of water and the mineral content. These salts are what I’ve mentioned before in the content I’ve written around having more energy in your life and it’s fundamentally important to generating that energy so that you have the thoughts, feelings and motivation to take control of your life and lose the weight that you really want to. If you’re wondering when you should be drinking water in regards to your fitness then you need to be drinking it before, during and after your workout (and yes, with the salts). That means adding some salts (electroly...

Why Women Train Differently To Men

One question we get asked is: “How differently do women need to train than men” and the answer to that question is, well, a little differently. We’re made very similar but also very differently. If you go into a health centre or fitness club then you’ll commonly see more women in the cardio areas and more men in the weights areas. It has changed over the last couple of years, with a shift of more women taking up weight and not going along the historical view of lifting weights will make you bulky (it doesn’t). In fact, Hayley wrote on the MPT blog about why women should be lifting weights in the gym and how doing so will help them get the body they desire in life . The clear fact and evidence behind things is that, yes, women do need to train differently to men, but not completely differently. Women can out train a guy if we’re talking about progression and staying power. That’s been evidence many times. What men can do is generally bulk up quicker (because they want to)...
